Bill has led Horsesmouth through multiple decades of industry innovation in helping financial advisors build better businesses to serve their clients and communities. Through its pioneering products and services combining education, marketing and technology, Horsesmouth has become the trusted partner of advisors across the financial services industry. Bill previously worked as an analyst at Gartner and served on the board of the NYC chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization. He graduated from Penn’s Management & Technology program with degrees from the School of Engineering and the Wharton School.


Sean M. Bailey

Editor-in-Chief

Sean has led editorial operations at Horsesmouth for over two decades. He and his team developed Horsesmouth’s unique content services into premier sources for financial professionals. Leveraging the expertise of hundreds of subject matter experts, the editorial team produces Horsesmouth’s flagship online service, our Savvy Series of comprehensive client education programs, year-round marketing and communications programs for financial professionals, and live events across the country and online. Sean co-authored the award-winning book, “Hack Proof Your Life Now!” He directs marketing operations as well. Sean previously worked at the News & Observer of Raleigh and was honored there for his investigative reporting, covering local politics and white-collar crime. He also led a national conference series for the Philanthropy Journal teaching nonprofits about technology, building websites, and raising money online.


Miriam Lawrence

Director, Corporate Programs

Miriam joined Horsesmouth in 1997. As Director of Corporate Programs, she is responsible for developing and managing relationships with a wide variety of financial services firms, including broker/dealers, RIAs, insurance carriers and marketing organizations, and asset managers, and helping them use Horsesmouth’s tools to drive growth and advisor loyalty. Prior to joining Horsesmouth, Miriam served as an analyst at Alex. Brown & Sons and previously held a number of sales and marketing positions in the book publishing industry. She graduated from Yale University with a degree in English.
